The Odyssey conference committee is excited to announce the 2023 Odyssey webinar series. We will address the challenges and opportunities of aging and disability services by bringing possibilities to life. Topics for webinars include:

  • Breaking the Cycle of White Supremacy in Aging & Disability Services
  • Workforce shortage and promising practices
  • Legislative updates
  • Major change initiatives.

Overview

We invite you to explore how white supremacy culture is harming us and the work that we do. Donte Curtis will discuss how the dominant culture shows up in our lives and will provide tools and strategies to break the cycle of white supremacy. This workshop will allow participants to share new ideas and talk about what is possible when people do the work to form new views about equity, justice and liberation.

About Donte Curtis

Donte Curtis is the owner of Catch Your Dream Consulting, doing keynote speaking, consultation and training. He works with teams and organizations nationwide on leadership development, racial equity and inclusion, supporting them to create practical change. Currently, Donte serves as co-chair on the board of directors of Social Enterprise Alliance Twin Cities. Also, he is a member of the program investment committee at Youthprise. Donte has 14 years of facilitation and speaking experience, energizing audiences to take practical action and find hope for a better tomorrow. Donte lives in St. Paul with his wife, Rachel, and two dogs, King and Moose.
