End of the federal public health emergency and wind down of current COVID-19 waivers

On Jan. 11, 2023, the federal government extended the COVID-19 public health emergency for an additional 90 days, until April 11, 2023. On Jan. 30, it announced it plans to end the emergency on May 11, 2023.
