The SSIS Business Section at DHS is accepting applications for an SSIS Help Desk Tier 1 position through January 5, 2023. To view the job announcement, and/or apply visit the State of Minnesota Career site.
Questions regarding the position can be directed to Cynthia Shypulski, SSIS Business Operations Supervisor.
The SSIS special package release will not be moving forward as planned due to information impacting one of the three planned proofing messages. Changes will instead be rolled into SSIS Statewide Release v23.1. Agencies should continue to use the manual QRTP Extended Placement Review (EPR) method until that time.
It was previously mentioned that late or missing QRTP EPRs could result in claims flipping back to day 15 of the original QRTP placement in a continuous placement episode. The decision was made to go with an interpretation of the requirements similar to other states for Families First claiming. If an initial EPR is late or missed, claims will stop from the EPR due date going forward rather than flipping claims prior to the due date.
Contact the SSIS Help Desk for assistance, if needed.
On a monthly basis, DHS moves some SSIS data into a Data Warehouse. This has historically been used by DHS for reports and forecasts and other data analyses. More recently, local agencies have requested access to the Data Warehouse. Access requests to the Data Warehouse by users external to DHS will be paused while some data privacy questions are resolved. New data sets will be created that will ensure data privacy, purge rules, and honor restrictions placed on workgroups by the local agencies. These data sets will also be more comprehensive than what currently exists in the Data Warehouse. We will be developing new data sharing agreements, mechanisms for user support, and more efficient processes for requesting access. We will be creating a formal project for this work via the formal SSIS system governance processes. Thank you for your patience.
