Episode 10: Services: Own-home vs. provider-controlled options

Join us for the Building your skills (BYS): Developing a support plan monthly webinar series. Each month will focus on a different type of foundational knowledge and skills for effective support planning. The event will provide the most up-to-date information, resources and initiatives about support planning.

This includes contributions from policy leads from the following DHS areas:

  • Aging and Adult Services
  • Behavioral Health
  • Disability Services

November topic

October’s webinar is “Episode 10: Services: Own-home vs. provider-controlled options.” At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Define services delivered in your own home and services delivered in a provider-controlled setting.
  • Discuss the differences and similarities between them.
  • Define service rate types.
  • Coordinate with providers to administer services.
  • Discuss how informed choice requirements relate to the services available to a person.

Audience

Attendance is not limited, but the content will be directed toward lead agency, tribal nation and contracted agency staff who complete CSSPs and/or collaborative care plans for LTSS programs.

Primary audience includes:

  • Case managers

Secondary audience includes:

  • Certified assessors
  • Supervisors of those listed above
