Christian Family Solutions

Christian Family Solutions (CFS) is a non-profit organization that provides outpatient counseling, school-based counseling, day treatment and intensive outpatient programs through its clinics in seven states, at partner schools, and through telehealth. CFS blends evidence-based methods and high standards of care with Christian faith-based principles to heal and help individuals facing a wide range of mental health concerns. Serving community needs for nearly 60 years, CFS now has more than 100 mental health professionals and an excellent support team making it the largest organization of its kind focused on the consistent delivery of mental health services that are appropriately integrated with biblical truth, as desired by clients, and documented in treatment plans.

In Minnesota, CFS has clinic locations in Lakeville, Mankato, and Rochester. We provide outpatient counseling services, skills groups and teen and adult intensive outpatient programs, in person and via telehealth.

In April 2021, CFS began offering care management services called Behavioral Health Home to support adults and children in areas that span physical, health and wellness, mental health, and social needs and supports at all our Minnesota locations and via telehealth.

After dedicating time to educate our own staff regarding BHH services, and serving clients who are already established in other CFS programs, we shifted our focus to engage and educate our community partners about the role of BHH and how we can work together to best serve people in our communities. We’ve met with organizations across Southern Minnesota and in the metro area to provide education about the program’s structure and goals. Outreach opportunities have included schools, health systems, medical and mental health clinics, county health and human services divisions, and other networking groups.

Our main emphasis is to support clients, with the understanding that a true care management collaboration will provide support for mental health professionals as well. This comprehensive, collaborative approach to services is key to success and is reflected in the core services that BHH aims to provide. As our program continues to grow, it has been exciting to see clients and their family members engage in services and become important members of our multidisciplinary team.
