DHS identifies reprocessing error with rate enhancements, impacting residential SUD providers


On August 1, 2022, provider news was published regarding substance use disorder treatment rate increases that went into effect January 1, 2022.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services has identified an issue in the reprocessing of claims for these rate enhancements. The issue affects the additional rate enhancements for reprocessed claims with the following dates: January 1 – July 13, 2022.

The following groups are impacted:

DHS has identified a mitigation strategy to resolve all claims impacted. Details and next steps will be shared individually with each program within the next 7-10 days via provider MNITS mailboxes.
