The temporary activity “CP Timeline Exception” is scheduled to be inactivated on or soon after the release of SSIS v22.3, August 24, 2022. Once inactivated it will no longer be available. This includes dates between 7/1/2021-2/23/2022, the time frame used to indicate CP timeline exceptions.
Agencies have been encouraged to use the ‘Timeliness’ Report found in Tableau to check for and correct any missed child maltreatment timelines that met the timeline exception criteria but had not yet entered this activity (between 7/1/21-2/23/21). The activity was used to ensure the timeline exception is noted in the related outcomes and reports. The ‘Time to Initial contact’ report will be updated to reflect the new timeline exception field in the coming v22.3 release. Once the activity has been inactivated, agencies will no longer be able to enter this activity for any dates.
To indicate a timeline exception for maltreatment reports with start dates after 2/23/2022, assessment workers should use the field added to the victim tab of the child maltreatment report from v22.1. Questions can be directed to the SSIS Help Desk.
When logging into SSIS users are able to highlight their most commonly used icons on the VMware Horizon Client screen by right clicking on the icon and selecting Mark as Favorite. A small gold star will appear in the upper right corner of the icon making favorite icons easier to find.
This is particularly helpful for users at agencies that are not piloting as it allows them to not see the pilot icon and inadvertently click on it, which would lead to errors and other issues for the user.
The little "flower" next to the gear button on the top right of the screen indicates a user’s favorites are displaying. If a user selects the flower, all icons will display.
The Cascade windows feature in SSIS allows users to toggle easily between active open screens when using a single monitor or laptop computer. Cascade can be accessed in SSIS by going to Window>Cascade. Right click to view and access open windows.
This might be helpful if a window in SSIS is not displaying within the screen, but the user opened a window. This is often related to the user accessing SSIS when the “screen space” they have has changed, such as using 2 monitors’ versus only a laptop screen.
The SSIS Business Operations and Training unit is excited to announce that two coffee talks have been added to the SSIS events calendar for August and September, 2022. Registration is required for each session and will close one hour prior to the event. Webinars will be recorded and posted for future reference.
