**Revised Version** Emergency studies transition deadline extended to Dec. 31
Emergency studies are now valid through Dec. 31, 2022. This extension allows entities additional time to resubmit fully compliant fingerprint based studies for individuals who have emergency studies.
The Department of Human Services encourages entities to prioritize submissions of new hires followed by resubmissions of background study applications for individuals with emergency studies. Emergency background studies will no longer be valid starting Jan.1, 2023.
What the emergency study deadline extension means
- Emergency studies remain valid through Dec. 31, 2022.
- Entities have more time to submit applications for fully compliant studies.
- Entities that may choose to purchase fingerprint equipment will have additional time to engage directly with IDEMIA.
