FFPSA Prevention Services Plan Update
Minnesota’s Five Year Prevention Services Plan is currently under final review. Once the plan is fully reviewed, it will be submitted to the United States Health and Human Services Children’s Bureau for approval. Following an engagement and consultation process, the department is including services that are rated as well-supported for initial plan submission. The two initial services include Motivational Interviewing and Parents as Teachers.
Seeking workgroup members for planning implementation of FFPSA prevention plan
Department staff are in the early stages of planning for the implementation of Minnesota’s prevention plan and is seeking workgroup members for two prevention service implementation workgroups. Department staff are looking for individuals with experience implementing the specific models that were reviewed by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse.
The goal of the workgroups is to develop an implementation plan for each service that aligns with prevention plan requirements. This includes implementation, training, fidelity monitoring, continuous quality improvement plan monitoring. Regular attendance may be weekly to bi-weekly.
