Family First Prevention Services Act News and Updates

Child Safety and Permanency staff are hosting an information session on Tuesday, June 14 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm to share changes related to Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) residential placements. Conversation will focus on providing answers to:
- What are the requirements for placing children in new specialized residential settings?
- What is the intersection of FFSPA and Indian Child Welfare Act/Minnesota Family Preservation Act?
- Who can be a qualified individual and process to become one?
- What is the difference between a qualified individual (QI) and qualified expert witness (QEW)?
- What is the process for becoming one of the new specialized settings?
