Stakeholder meetings set for Permanency Support Services programs


You are invited to join a stakeholder meeting for the Permanency Support Services programs. Permanency Support Services is intended to provide services that help families support and care for children and youth who have been adopted, or are in foster care placement or kinship care.

Program service recipients are children and youth in adoption, foster care, and kinship placements and adoptive, foster, and kinship families in Minnesota. Services may include:

·         Information and referral services

·         Parent-to-parent support networks

·         Family activities

·         Crisis services

·         Mental health services for children and youth in adoption

·         Peer support for youth

·         Respite care

·         Educational support.

Services may also include trainings offered statewide in Minnesota for foster, adoptive, and kinship families, and the professionals who serve the families, on the effects of trauma, common disabilities of adopted children and children in foster care and kinship placements, and challenges in adoption, foster care, and kinship placements.

Attend a meeting for county agency professionals to discuss the needs of the community for the Permanency Support Services program in preparation for a request for proposal.

Attend a meeting for Tribal agency professionals to discuss the needs of the community for the Permanency Support Services program in preparation for a request for proposal.
