Lead agency guidance regarding assisted living licensure and customized living services

The new Minnesota assisted living licensure law takes effect Aug. 1, 2021. The law establishes regulatory standards for the provision of housing and services in assisted living facilities and assisted living facilities with dementia care to help ensure the health, safety, well-being and appropriate treatment of residents. DHS and the Minnesota Department of Health have provided more information about the law for providers and lead agencies on their websites. For more information, including specific guidance for lead agencies, read the full announcement at Lead agency guidance regarding assisted living licensure and customized living services.
