Statewide Efforts

Behavioral Health Division mini-grant application due May 3

DHS, through its Behavioral Health Division, is seeking mini-grant applicants to address the racialized trauma as a result of police officer involved killings. Many are fearful, numb, outraged, uncertain, and heartbroken dealing with the on-going disparate treatment of black people. These are the conditions that the black community has to exist in. The services sought must be designed to address the complex needs of black individuals, families and communities affected by substance use disorders, adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbance.

For more information and to apply for the grant, visit the Department of Human Services grant web page.
