COVID-19 Public Health Support Funds for Child Care Update on Capacity Survey Requirement

April 27, 2021

Capacity Survey Update!

DHS is contacting you to let you know about a change in the requirement to report your capacity information as part of receiving the COVID-19 Public Health Support Funds.

In previous funding rounds, programs were required to update their capacity through a capacity survey; now programs only need to share their capacity, enrollment and openings using the Update Tool at https://mnpbu.naccrraware.net/#!/login. Updating your capacity through the Update Tool helps parents of young children working in health care and other critical sectors be connected to your programs. Child Care Aware uses this information to help families with child care searches, and having your up-to-date business information helps families find available care. Plan to complete this survey, at a minimum, once every six weeks to ensure that the data remains current.

Steps to take will vary based on your prior use of the Update Tool

First time user. If you’ve never used the Update Tool before, you will need to activate your account first using your License ID number or Certification number and email address on file with Child Care Aware. Please refer to these instructions for information on using the Update Tool. If you need further assistance, email UpdateTool@ParentAware.org.

Returning User. Simply log on as you have in the past with your License ID number or Certification number and your email address on file with Child Care Aware of Minnesota. Answer the questions on capacity, enrollment and openings for the age groups you serve. If you need further assistance, email UpdateTool@ParentAware.org.

More information will be included in the updated COVID-19 Public Health Support Funds FAQ which will be available April 30, 2021. Please refer to question #17.

Thank you for the care you continue to provide for children and families in your community during these challenging times.
