Date: March 23, 2021 To: People with disabilities and those who support them, including case managers and service providers From: DHS Disability Services Division Purpose: To urge people with disabilities to make a plan for COVID-19 vaccination Effective: Immediately Contact: Mai Thor at the Minnesota Department of Health (651-201-4264 or mai.thor@state.mn.us)
State health officials urge people in Minnesota to get a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible. That call to action is especially true for people with disabilities. Support workers, friends and loved ones are encouraged to help people who may need help scheduling their vaccination (especially for people who don’t have internet access or those who don’t have the most up-to-date information.)
