Several healthcare claim batches submitted from Oct. 12-20 have been blocked, causing a “transmission error” status. DHS and MNIT staff are working swiftly to resolve this issue. Until then, the Healthcare Claiming interface between SSIS and MMIS has been disabled. Agencies should delay submitting batches until the interface is enabled and the connection between the two systems is resolved.
Please share this information with any fiscal workers/mentors within your agency. Additional communication will be sent when the issue is resolved. The SSIS fiscal team will contact agencies that are receiving these batch submission errors with instructions on re-submitting the batches. Thank you for your patience.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar issued a renewal of the COVID-19 public health emergency, effective October 23. Assuming a full 90-day extension, this will extend the PHE through Jan. 21, 2021. This would make the current 6.2 percentage point FMAP enhancement available through Q1 2021. SSIS staff will be updating the system in the upcoming weeks to satisfy this requirement.
The Family First and Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) requires that all staff working in a Title IV-E Group Children’s Residential Facility (CRF) receive fingerprint-based “Adam Walsh” background checks in order to meet Title IV-E child safety requirements.
To assist counties and initiative tribes with claiming Title IV-E reimbursements for these placements, we will periodically update the list of facilities that have met the background checks safety requirements.
