Availability of online Rule 79 Mental Health Targeted Case Management training

The following Mental Health Targeted Case Management (MH TCM) Rule 79 trainings are available on DHS TrainLink. While many of these modules are designated for Adult Mental Health Targeted Case Management (AMH TCM), the content is relevant to most Children’s Mental Health Targeted Case Management (CMH TCM) activities. 

The MH TCM trainings are approved by the commissioner and meet the statutory requirements of Mn. Stats. 245.4871, subd. 4(f)(1) and Mn. Stats. 245.462, subd. 4(e)(2).

Mental Health Targeted Case Managers must comply with statutory training requirements. The following online modules are available. All modules (18.5 hours online) are approved to meet the 40 hour Commissioner approved training requirement. DHS is currently updating MH TCM Training. Providers will be notified when additional modules are added.

  5. Course Name AMH-TCM Assessment and Planning Course Code MH643 Hours 2.5
  6. Course Name AMH-TCM Referral, Monitoring, and Documentation Course Code MH644 Hours 2.5
  7. Course Name AMH-TCM Privacy Course Code MH645 Hours 2.5

To register for a course, please go to the Adult and Children’s Mental Health Learning Center for the modules listed above.  Use the following instructions for how to enroll in online training.  If you do not have a UNIQUIE KEY you will be required to obtain one.
