COVID-19 Preparedness Plan Update
|
|
This message is being sent as a follow-up to the COVID-19 Preparedness Plan information previously sent to all licensed and certified child care center providers on June 18, 2020.
Child care programs that do not operate through the summer do not need to develop and implement a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan by June 29, 2020, as communicated in the message sent on June 18, 2020. All programs will, however, need to have the Preparedness Plan completed before operating in your facility again in the fall. This does not mean only when children are again being served in the program, but also when staff are back onsite. Part of the necessity for a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan is to ensure a safe workplace, so you are required to have this in place when staff are back onsite to prepare for the new school year.
- Currently Operating Centers - Complete your Preparedness Plan by June 29, 2020.
- Centers not in Operation during the Summer - Complete your Preparedness Plan before operations begin again in your facility this fall.
- Attestation - All centers will receive an email the week of July 6 with instructions on how to attest to the completion of your Preparedness Plan. Please read this email closely; there will be directions for centers that are currently open and for those that are not currently in operation.
