MDH guidance to prevent COVID-19 in licensed group homes

DHS and MDH are working together to assist group homes, specifically 245-D residential service providers and intermediate care facilities (ICF/DD), to maintain health and safety in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. On May 12, The Minnesota Department of Health issued Interim Guidance on the Prevention of COVID-19 for Employees and Residents of Licensed Group Homes (PDF).

245-D licensed providers and ICF/DD are settings where rapid spread of COVID-19 can occur among employees and residents. This guidance is intended to advise providers on best practice recommendations in these settings. It does not mandate specific actions.
