Earlier today Commissioner Harpstead sent the following email to 245D Day Services Facilities regarding the path toward partial reopening of day services.
DHS is alerting 245D license holders of two recently released communications that may be applicable as you provide licensed services and supports to persons during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first communication is from the Minnesota Department of Health, MDH, Interim Guidance on the Prevention of COVID-19 for Employees and Residents of Licensed Group Homes. This guidance is applicable to adult foster care homes, community residential settings, supervised living facilities, and intermediate care facilities (ICF/DD) who provide 245D licensed residential supports and services.

The second communication is from the Disability Services Division (DSD) at DHS. DSD has updated the Disability services COVID-19 FAQ webpage with answers to questions from lead agencies and residential service providers about upholding a person’s rights, person-centered practices and service suspensions and terminations during the peacetime emergency.

If you have questions about COVID-19 please continue to utilize the guidance from MDH and CDC. If you have questions about your 245D license and services please contact your DHS licensor or call the HCBS Help Desk at 651-431-6624.
