Thank you, SSIS Team
Security access management is a key role of the SSIS mentor/coordinator/primary. The SSIS mentor/coordinator/primary assigns MnCHOICES Assessment (MnA) functions for MnA user access. The Department of Human Services began an audit of certified assessors in the third quarter of 2019 to ensure a person who needs long-term services and supports receives an assessment from a person who is certified and maintains assessor certification (MN State Statute 256B.0911). This audit process may require the SSIS mentor/coordinator/primary to remove the user function from an assessor.

The Family First and Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) requires that all staff working in a Title IV-Group Children’s Residential Facility (CRF) receive fingerprint-based “Adam Walsh” background checks in order to meet Title IV-E child safety requirements.
To assist counties and initiative tribes with claiming Title IV-E reimbursements for these placements, lists will periodically be provided of facilities that have met the background checks safety requirements.

Thanks to all mentors for continuing to report Stream Read Errors. Please continue to report to the Help Desk. Our MNIT partners have determined that the errors are related to a Horizon caching system problem related to user profiles. MNIT partners are working with Horizon for a resolution to this issue. We will share additional information as it becomes available.
Agencies are still experiences a large volume of these errors are also encouraged to connect with their internal IT team to ensure their network infrastructure can meet the internal need/demand.
