State Advisory Council & Subcommittee on Children's Mental Health is Seeking New Members

The State Advisory Council on Mental Health and Subcommittee on Children’s Mental Health are actively recruiting to fill several positions. Open seats include:

  • Individuals with lived experience
  • Family members
  • Various mental health providers
  • County commissioners, etc.

These groups make important recommendations to the governor, legislature, and state agencies on ways to improve the adult and children’s mental health systems in Minnesota. They are also a key organizer of Mental Health Awareness Day at the State Fair.

Members may receive a $55 per diem plus expenses. Four-year terms begin the first Monday in January. To find open seats and submit your application, go to the State Advisory Council or the Children’s Mental Health Subcommittee.
