Position Opening: Clinical Director

The Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center (MIWRC) is seeking a dynamic leader to direct our mental health programming and operations. For over 35 years, MIWRC has been guided by indigenous values, empowering Native women and their families and educating service providers throughout the state. Initially established in 1984 as a training center and library for social service professionals, we have now grown to encompass more than 15 programs. Working as a mirror reflecting back to each individual the power already within her to make positive change, the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center staff seeks to assist women and their families in utilizing their own cultural values and strengths to retake ownership of their lives, providing necessary resources and guidance along the way.

ICWA Kinship Worker

The purpose of the ICWA Kinship Worker is to identify and assist extended family and community members wishing to serve as foster families for Native American children in need of out-of-home placement in meeting the requirements for licensure, and providing ongoing support for foster families and children during placement.

LADC Counselor

The Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Nokomis Endaad Native Women’s MI/CD Outpatient Treatment Program. This individual will provide direct services to American Indian women who are experiencing addiction to alcohol and drugs, mental health needs, sexual trauma/violence and culture-based co-occurring disorders such as historical trauma, loss of spirituality, culture, and grief/loss. Nokomis Endaad Native Women’s MI/CD Outpatient Treatment Program uses culturally specific treatment approaches to clients within a multi-service non-profit community organization. This individual must be familiar with clinical/case management concepts as it relates to addiction and other disciplines, and be able to work well with others, including community agencies and tribal entities. This individual is expected to carry a client caseload.
