If a county is unexpectedly unable to access adult maltreatment reports via SSIS and the access problems are expected to persist for 24 hours or longer, MAARC staff can email copies of maltreatment reports as an alternate method of delivery. During such unplanned outages, county contacts/mentors must follow these steps:
- Contact the SSIS Help Desk and provide a designated email to receive the reports.
- All reports emailed from MAARC will be encrypted. The receiving county must ensure that the designated email recipient can access and review secure emails sent by MAARC.
- The county must follow applicable data practice rules for security, handling and destruction of confidential MAARC reports.
- EPS phone notifications will be made by MAARC to county APS staff during business hours and the county EPS designee after-hours for ALL EPS reports during the outage.
- Notify the SSIS Help Desk when the outage is resolved.
