Agenda items from Behavioral Health Division:
- Requirement for National Certification extension.
- DBT-A: DHS is working on program details and legislative change adolescents to DBT IOP. We would like feedback on the following:
- Age: starting at age 12 with discretion/assessment by therapist
- Eligibility: require one psychiatric diagnosis (not specified) and 3 of 5 identified problem areas from DBT-A: confusion about self, impulsivity, emotional instability, interpersonal problems, parent/teen problems.
- Family involvement: DHS will require some family involvement based on research and treatment developer recommendations. If serving adolescents, how are families currently involved? What do you think the parameters should be? Ideas for compensation.
