Information on BHH services and coordination with Managed Care Organizations
Minnesota Department of Human Services sent this bulletin at 12/28/2018 10:01 AM CSTBehavioral Health Home (BHH) services
On November 2, 2018, the Department of Human Services (DHS) hosted BHH services providers and staff from managed care organizations (MCOs) for an opportunity to discuss coordination between BHH services providers and MCOs, including:
- What has been working well
- What has been challenging
- Possible solutions
The attached document is a summary of the discussions that took place at the event.
We strongly encourage BHH services providers to reach out to the BHH contacts at the MCOs. Developing these relationships is important to:
- Identify successes, challenges and solutions
- Develop outreach and recruitment opportunities
- Gain a better understanding of how to maximize the benefits of MCO care coordination and BHH services for shared members
DHS will continue to look for opportunities to bring BHH services providers together with representatives from Minnesota's Medicaid MCOs.
