Lastly, the SUD team discussed the 2016 Stakeholder Engagement process that influenced the Minnesota’s Plan for the Prevention, Treatment and Recovery of Addiction policy recommendations report. During this WebEx, valuable feedback was gathered from participants as to how they would like to participate in the stakeholder engagement process this summer, which will influence the policy recommendations we bring forth to the 2019 legislative session. The results are as follows:

Brief Summary of Survey Results

Which option would you find more accessible to those wishing to participate in stakeholder engagement related to updating the policy recommendations? 82% of attendees requested a “series of web-based meetings (via WebEx) for participants to engage in.”

If we were to provide a similar stakeholder engagement process as in 2016, but via WebEx, would you be interested in attending? 94% of attendees preferred this method and are interested in engaging in the process.

Which attendance option do you feel your organization has more availability to support? 88% of attendees preferred “Remote attendance of stakeholder engagement meetings.”

In addition, we collected comments and suggestions from attendees in regards to additional engagement options they would suggest, how individuals would like to be notified about progress and what best fits the needs of their organizations.

If you were unable to attend either options for stakeholder engagement, would you still like to be notified of any progress/updates made? And how so?

Do you have other suggestions on how you would like to participate/provide feedback for the 2019 SUD policy recommendations?

We will continue to collect valuable feedback and plan to roll out our finalized Stakeholder Engagement Plan with dates at the July 12th SUD reform WebEx. If you haven’t yet registered for our WebExs make sure to do so below!
