is illness management and recovery?
Illness Management and
Recovery, or IMR, is a step-by-step program that helps people to:
- Set meaningful goals for
themselves
- Acquire information and skills
to develop a greater sense of mastery over their psychiatric illness
- Maintain focus on and make
progress towards their own personal goals and recovery
Who
is this training for?
- Supervisors who are interested
in learning more about Illness Management and Recovery and how their
practitioners can use it to more effectively treat their clients
- Practitioners who are
interested in the implementation of Illness Management and Recovery
- New staff at an agency using
Illness Management and Recovery
What
is included in this training?
- Two days, 12 hours training
session on basic skills required to implement IMR
- 12 hours of continuing
education credit plus 12 additional credits if all TA calls are attended
- IMR Manual (digital and paper
copy) and participant materials
- Continental breakfast,
beverages, and lunch
- Post training: 12 hours of
group consultation via WebEx online meeting to address
- --Implementation
- --Troubleshooting
- --Technical assistance
- --Case feedback
*All agencies are encouraged
to register 3 or more staff in order to ensure agency implementation of IMR
