Earn 6 Co-Occurring CEU with Gabor Maté, Jan. 27-28th at the University of Minnesota

Minnesota Center for Chemical and Mental Health (MNCAMH) is hosting best-selling author Gabor Maté, M.D., to lead two major conferences at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities campus on the effects of childhood trauma and stress in human development, drug addiction and mental illness.

It’s not too late to register! Friday is full but seats still available for Saturday, Jan. 28th.

On Saturday, Dr. Maté will discuss how early childhood experiences and chronic stress can negatively affect physical and mental well-being. The all-day event, entitled Trauma and Stress across the Lifespan: Attachment and Healing in Childhood and Beyond.

Each day provides 6.0 Continuing Education Units that meets the requirements for co-occurring disorder training for Rule 31 licensed programs.

About Dr. Gabor Maté

Dr. Maté is a co-founder of Compassion for Addiction, a nonprofit organization and resource for those seeking help for substance abuse disorders. The Vancouver physician has more than 20 years of experience in family practice and palliative care. He has written several books, including the best-seller “In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters with Addiction.” He spent more than a decade caring for patients struggling with drug addiction, mental illness and HIV in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
