Housing Benefits
101 (HB101), the sister site of Disability
Benefits 101, provides information and tools for people who need affordable housing.
HB101 helps people to understand the range of housing options and support
services available.
What is
new?
- HB101 has launched a planning tool
within the HB101 vault called My HB101 Plan. The My HB101 Plan tool gives:
o
A helpful way to explore a person’s housing and service
wants and needs
o
An easy and secure way to explore a person’s budget. This
will allow the person to set goals, including earning more money through work
o
A protected place to store his or her housing information
o
The ability to share information with others
o
Paths to success that help a person if he or she has a
criminal record, poor credit or poor rental history. DHS will add more paths in
the future.
- DHS
has added more housing information to the Community Based Services Manual
o

What Do I Need to Do?
You may
access the vault through your “My HB101” account, which you can create by
registering at the HB101 site. If you are a professional
supporting a person with a disability, you may create your own My HB101 account
to save favorite pages and files. You may also help the person to create his or
her own My HB101 account.
If you have
any questions, click the appropriate link in the “Get Help Now” menu on the
HB101 page.
Visit CBSM — What's New page often for a list of policies/pages we've recently updated in the DSD Community-Based Services Manual.
