The Housing and Support Services division at the Department of
Human Services is looking for feedback on how we provide housing assistance and
housing supportive services for people with disabilities.
The 2016 Legislature has directed us to look at the
possibility of funding housing supportive services using Medicaid funding. The
full language is located in 2016 Minnesota Session Law, Chapter 163, Article 3, Section 13.
We also want to continue the reforms to housing assistance we started in 2015. Those
changes are found in 2015 Minnesota Session Law, Chapter 71, Article 1, Sections 3,
6, 9, 15-40, and 120.
We are gathering feedback through a series of stakeholder
meetings to be held across Minnesota on the dates and at the locations listed
below. RSVP to Rebecca.melang@state.mn.us with the date and
time you are planning to attend so we can plan accordingly.
