The Department of Human Rights is looking to fill a positions within the Department. Anyone interested should view the position descriptions provided below and apply now. Applications will be accepted through October 10, 2016.
Human Rights Enforcement Officer 1 – Investigator
- This position exists to investigate charges of discrimination and make final determinations as to whether or not there has been a violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act.
- The person in this position will perform intake services for the Department, provide information to the public, determine whether complaints are jurisdictional to the Department, draft charges of discrimination when appropriate, generate information requests, and make appropriate referrals for non-jurisdictional complaints.
- The holder of this position will also serve on Department sponsored committees or working groups, participate in testing, make public presentations and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's of Arts or Science in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting/Public Administration, Personnel/Human Resources/Law/Pre-Law or a closely related field.
-OR-
One (1) year full-time experience with primary responsibility for conducting investigations of civil, criminal or administrative matters within a legal, AA/EEO/Human Rights, law enforcement, corrections, personnel/human resources or labor relations setting.
Persons fluent in other languages such as Hmong and Somali are encouraged to apply.
