PEARSON’S CANDY COMPANY
The State Rapid Response Team (SRRT) received a Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, 29 U.S.C. § 2101 et seq. ("WARN") email from St. Paul Candy Company, d/b/a Pearson’s Candy Company (“Company”) informing us of the permanent closure and layoff of approximately 80 employees from their facility located at:
- 2140 7th St. W, St. Paul, MN 55116
According to the WARN notice, the facility is closing due to a lack of financial sustainability to continue operations. As a result, the facility will permanently close, and employees will be permanently laid off effective September 28, 2026.
Some affected employees are represented by the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union, Local 22. There are no bumping rights associated with these layoffs.

Boiler Operator, Candy Maker, Cook-Starch Dept, EDI, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Feeder, General Heavy Duty Labor, HVAC Technician, IT Manager, Lead Sanitor, Lead Shipping/Receiving Clerk, Lead Wrapping Machine Operator, Maintenance Mechanic, Oiler, Packer, Production Manager, QC Technician, Sanitor, Scanner, Security, Shipping/Receiving Clerk, SNR Machine Operator, Sr. Lead Enrobing Machine Operator, Wrapper, Wrapping Machine Operator.
