SSB Contracts Team has developed a survey that Community Partners will be asked to complete prior to their monitoring visit. This will assist staff in understanding achievements, address trouble spots, and review how our staff are doing. Monitoring events are scheduled now through August and have been confirmed for those visits that are due. More monitoring visits will be scheduled for the end of the year. You will be notified if you are due for a visit.

The College Tour! is a two-hour virtual event sponsored by Vanward Consulting. This event will provide blind and low vision high school students with the opportunity to learn about different colleges from representatives of the college’s Disability Services organizations. The University of Minnesota is included in this year's tour. This event is on Saturday, April 5th at 1:00 PM. For more information, visit this College Tour! link. At our April forum, we will be discussing Workforce One (WF1) and how it could help your submissions of invoices, reporting, and access to your payment information. Laura Cheney from VRS will join us. We will hear from Community Partners who are using this system, changes SSB is making, and connect you with a point person for training and other questions.
At our July meeting, we will have a presentation on "What is Self-Advocacy?" Some questions were raised at a recent monitoring event about this topic. We want to be sure everyone understands this contractual obligation.
