MSP Equity Fund
Five new fast-growing startup companies from across the country have been selected to receive a $100,000 investment and participate in the MSP Equity Accelerator. Launch Minnesota grant recipient Ambient Intelligence is among the honorees, along with Minneapolis-based Gametime Hero.
Startups accepted into the MSP Equity Accelerator take part in an intensive, 12-week cohort that includes one-on-one coaching, connections to the gener8tor network and over $1M in deals and perks.

Black Business Month
August is Black Business Month! To kick off the celebration, the City of Minneapolis will host Black Business Week July 22 to July 28. Black Business Week will feature a variety of events, including networking opportunities, markets and a mini conference. DEED’s Office of Small Business and Innovation is excited to participate in the kickoff event, which will feature a panel discussion on accessing capital.

Catalyst Angel MN Cohort
Local entrepreneurial support organization Forge North is collaborating with Groove Capital, TechTown Detroit and BMO to educate new angel investors through a new learning opportunity.
Participants will grow their understanding of the fundamentals of angel investing and get to know one another at industry-specific events highlighting CPG and healthcare. The cohort is open to emerging investors who identify as Black, Latinx and/or women in an attempt to ad more perspectives to the angel-investing community.
