Twin Cities Startup Week kicks off in just a few days! Launch Minnesota and DEED are organizing several events for TCSW that will help local innovators connect with the people and resources needed to grow their business.

Grants, Loans and Advice: State Supports for Startup Businesses and Entrepreneurs

Date: Mon., Sept. 18, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

DEED invites founders to learn about government resources that will help their early-stage businesses grow and succeed. Meet consultants from the Small Business Assistance Office, find your next mentor through the Small Business Development Center, learn about startup resources through Launch Minnesota, and more!

At 11:00, there will be a presentation on How to Start a Business in the theater on the main floor. Join us for a small portion of the morning or the whole thing!

MN Ventures will take place on October 17 2023

Minnesota Ventures - October 17

Launch Minnesota is collaborating with the University of Minnesota’s Office of Technology Commercialization, Medical Alley and MNSBIR, Inc. to host another MN Ventures pitch event on October 17. Startups that wish to participate must be Minnesota-based and actively raising Seed or Series A capital. Applications will be accepted now through September 25. SXSW Pitch returns for is 16^th year to showcase of the global startup ecosystem’s most exciting, innovative and cutting-edge technology. This year’s event will occur March 8-16, 2024. Applications are due Nov. 12.

DesignU Offering Consulting Assistance for Startups

DesignU is a pro-bono student consulting group at the U of M. The group is currently looking for clients to provide a project that lasts the duration of one semester (now through December) or next semester (mid-January through April).

DesignU works closely with startups, nonprofits, and small businesses to add value in some way to their organization. The student teams include: Prototype, Digital, Research and Strategy, and DUCC. Contact designu@umn.edu to learn more.
