July 31

  • 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Hybrid Job Club Activity Group  Held most Mondays and Tuesdays.
    Location: Hosmer Library Room 104, 347 East 36th Street, Minneapolis or online. Pre-register for online link. Work with job seekers in a small group to stay productive. All welcome. 
  • 1:00 - 2:30 pm Online: Virtual Job Club  features five rotating topics and provides an opportunity for job seekers to learn and practice important job skills. While interacting with peers, job seekers will stay motivated and know that they’re not alone. Register at the link.

August 1

  • 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Employer of the Day - Hilton of Roseville
    Location: Roseville Library, 2180 Hamline Ave N, Roseville. Talk with the recruiter with Hilton of Roseville about their openings.
  • 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Healthcare Training Resource Fair Location: Brooklyn Park Library - Mississippi River Room, 8500 West Broadway Ave, Brooklyn Park. Speak with healthcare training programs, some offered at no cost. See link for list.
  • 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Online: Professional Leaders in Job Transition 
    Job seekers throughout Minnesota focus on the job-search strategies and tactics that go beyond looking at job boards and filling out employment applications. See link.

August 2

  • 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Employer of the Day - Kottkes' Bus Service
    Location: CareerForce Blaine, 1201 89th Ave NE #235, Blaine. Kottkes' Bus Service will answer questions about their driver openings and friendly, flexible work environment.
  • 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. On-site Hiring Event with Anoka County Location: CareerForce Blaine, 1201 89th Ave NE #235, Blaine. 10 employers in person: Amazon, Anoka-Hennepin Schools, Blaine Brothers, Chick-fil-A, Gradient Financial, Hoya, Integer, Kottke's, SEEK, YMCA. See link. 

August 3

  • 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Online: Thursday Morning Job Club is a job transition networking and discussion group. Topic this week: Viable Career Options “What else could I do?” We’ll consider ideas for alternative careers that use transferable skills and match what the job market has demand for.
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Employer of the Day - First Student
    Location: CareerForce, 1 Mendota Rd W, West St Paul. Come in and meet with a representative from First Student to learn more about driving a school bus or becoming a bus monitor.
  • 1:00 am - 12:00 p.m. Shakopee Employer of the Day Location: CareerForce, Scott County Government Center, 200 4th Ave, Shakopee. 2 companies: Residential Transitions hiring Community Mental Health Workers and TSA hiring Transportation Security Officers.

August 7

    Location: CareerForce, 4220 West Old Shakopee Road Suite 200, Bloomington. Guest employer to share insider tips on current hiring practices will be from M Health Fairview Health Services.

August 9

  • 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Washington County Career Fair Location: R.H. Stafford Library, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury. See link for long list of companies from across our region who will attend. 

August 10

  • 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Online: Thursday Morning Job Club 
    Topic: Changing your Vocational Identity. Taking on a different job role or moving to a new workplace is a serious life change. How to bend, not break! Pre-register.
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Employer of the Day - First Student

  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. South of the River On-site/Virtual Hiring Event 
    Location: CareerForce, 1 Mendota Rd W, West St. Paul.  Come to CareerForce or join online to meet a variety of companies! See link for how to join online.
