This event will feature a panel presentation focused on “Drivers’ Licenses for All” legislation. All guests are welcome to attend this portion of the event (from 11-12:30) to learn about this important new law. We’ll then transition to the Job Fair, from 12:30-2:00, outdoors, under a tent in the CareerForce parking lot.

City funds no-interest loan to finance citizenship application fee
More than 10,000 Minneapolis residents are U.S. permanent residents (green card holders) who could qualify for U.S. citizenship but have not yet applied. The City of Minneapolis in partnership with Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union has launched a New American Loan program so that Minneapolis residents who may not be able to afford the naturalization filing fee are able to qualify for U.S. citizenship. Qualified residents can apply now for a no-interest loan through Affinity Plus. More information is on the Affinity Plus website or at 651-312-9747.

Career Pathways Trainings offer job seekers free or low-cost, accelerated trainings that prepare them for careers in high demand job sectors including Healthcare, IT, Public Safety and the Trades.
Career Works - Employment and training services to eligible adults 18 and over who are looking to gain skills and employment in healthcare, IT, manufacturing, construction or administrative services.
Minneapolis Youth Works - Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.
Dislocated Worker Program - Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
