Each Thursday during Workforce Development Month we're featuring a CareerForce Spotlight article highlighting the outstanding work of an individual workforce professional or team.
This week, the CareerForce spotlight is on the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council or SWPIC!
Staff at this Leading CareerForce partner collaborate with local organizations to help serve area residents who speak languages other than English, meet the needs of local health care providers, educational institutions, employers and more.

CareerForce and More for Employers - virtual series
Make sure to tell employers you work with about this virtual series of short informational sessions for recruiters, talent acquisition staff, human resources, and others wishing to learn more about CareerForce staff, programs and online resources.
Every Wednesday September 14 through November 2 8-8:26am
These short sessions are aimed at helping employers strengthen their hiring plans, increase retention, and reach new job seekers by utilizing CareerForce resources more fully.
Encourage employers to find out more about the session topics on the CareerForce and More for Employers page on CareerForceMN.com and then register in advance to receive the Webex webinar meeting links for the sessions that interest them.
Manufacturing: Preparing job seekers for the industry - a webinar for workforce development professionals
Monday, September 26 2-3pm
All CareerForce Staff and Partners are invited to this workforce professionals webinar designed to get you information on preparing your job seeking clients for finding manufacturing industry jobs.
This webinar is not for job seekers, rather, for you to ask questions and discuss finding the right fit for your clients. Feel free to forward to any job developer or job counselor who administers Dislocated Worker programming, SNAP E&T, WIOA programming, Wagner-Peyser programs, community liaisons, and other workforce professionals.
