Learn Startup Education Opportunities
Several entrepreneurial support organizations throughout Minnesota are offering educational opportunities for founders.
Collider, based in Rochester, sponsors CO.STARTERS, a 10-week-long cohort program that equips starters of all kinds with the insights, relationships and tools needed to turn business ideas into action.
The University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management offers Value Proposition Design Courses. These are exclusively for pre-launch and early-stage technology entrepreneurs who plan to seek external grant or equity funding.
Finally, ILT Academy is currently accepting applications for its virtual lean startup program in several Minnesota regions: West Central, Northwest, Northeast and the Twin Cities Metro. This cohort is free to all entrepreneurs and provides coaching and support to small businesses no matter where they are in their startup journey. Innovation Grants Are Back!
Launch Minnesota’s Innovation Grants have returned! These grants provide up to $35,000 for business operations, which includes research and development, direct business expenses and technical assistance.
Since inception, Launch Minnesota has awarded a total of $4.8M to 149 innovative Minnesota companies. More than 60% of our Innovation Grants have been awarded to targeted businesses, which includes those that are woman-owned, veteran-owned, BIPOC-owned or located in Greater Minnesota.
Applications for the new round of Innovation Grants opened July 10. Check out the Innovation Grant page on our website for additional information and to see if your startup qualifies.

Lunch With Launch is a new, casual meetup for grantees and community members to connect and collaborate. We are gathering for our second Lunch With Launch at Buncha’s office in Minneapolis tomorrow, July 14. SBIR 101 Orientation Sessions
The Minnesota SBIR/STTR Accelerator helps startups and small businesses secure federal research and development funding to enable the transformation of high-risk, high-impact technologies into marketable products and services that solve problems.
This training session is virtual and will be held on the second Monday of each month from 10-11 a.m.

Entrepreneurship World Cup
Applications are now open for the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC)! This global event is open to entrepreneurs of all stages anywhere in the world. It’s more than just a pitch competition. It gives everyone who enters access to the knowledge, networks, (and for some) the capital they need to start and scale a new company. EWC supports more than 175,000 entrepreneurs in 200 countries. Applications for this year’s competition are now open.
