Innovation Grants Awards
Launch Minnesota awarded another $381,500 in Innovation Grants to 14 startups from across the state. The early-stage companies represent a range of industries including education, healthcare and more. After four months, the funding of $1.5M for these grants has been fully allocated. Funds will be replenished in July 2022, and we anticipate opening applications on June 1st.

Startups Receive SBIR/STTR Matching Grants
In addition to Innovation Grants, Launch Minnesota has also distributed close to $440,000 in Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) matching grants to 17 startups. The SBIR and STTR programs are highly competitive and encourage small businesses to engage in federal research with the potential for commercialization. Launch Minnesota Recognized in EDAM Awards
Launch Minnesota recently received the Innovation Award from The Economic Development Association of Minnesota (EDAM). The award recognizes Launch Minnesota’s dedication to developing a creative solution to an economic development challenge. “We are honored to receive this award and grateful for the efforts of colleagues at MN-DEED, partners and innovators across the state. Working together, we will continue to grow our innovation ecosystem,” said Launch Minnesota Executive Director Neela Mollgaard.

Friday Forum on MN Cup
Launch Minnesota’s Friday Forums are an opportunity to discuss the topics facing Minnesota’s startup community.
The topic on February 25th at 8:30am is MN Cup, the state’s largest competition. Applications open in March, and MN Cup Executive Director Jessica Berg will join us to share suggestions for making your business stand out.
