Dear VRS Community Partners,
We have an update for you today about difficulties obtaining a manual signature or approval from Community Partners on VR documents. These are temporary measures due to COVID and will be reassessed in the future.
- When a community partner can’t obtain a manual signature from a participant or authorized representative, VR can accept alternative methods of approval (e.g., a notation reflecting the date verbal approval was obtained, a copy of an email approval, electronic signature).
- In addition, VR staff can accept alternative methods showing community partner’s approval on documents, such as the Placement Plan.
