Unemployment Insurance benefits
December 24 update:
- Congress passed a new stimulus package to provide additional weeks of benefits under the PEUC and PUA programs.
- There are ongoing negotiations with the Office of the President regarding some of the provisions in the stimulus package.
- If agreement over the federal stimulus package is not reached, the State Additional Benefits program will be implemented effective December 27, 2020.

Coursera sign up deadline: December 31, 2020
Nearly 20,000 Minnesotans have signed up for Coursera. Remind your customers to sign up before the deadline.

December 31, 2020: Last day to join DEED's program on Coursera. Fill out the form at CareerForceMN.com/Coursera and follow the invitation link that is emailed to you by this date.

January 31, 2021: Last day to enroll in courses you'd like to take by the end of March.

March 31, 2021: Last day to complete any courses you are enrolled in.
Minnesota's Coursera initiative offers 5,075 courses and guided projects from over 200 top businesses and universities, including more than 60 courses from the University of Minnesota, that Minnesotans can take for free. You earn certificates for completing courses, and depending on your college or university's credit for prior learning policies, you may be able to use them for college credit.
