Upcoming Trainings

Information Technology (IT) Core Skill Training

  • This tuition-free training will help you train for tech or sales jobs and prepare you for more advanced training in coding, customer support or network administration.
  • No tech experience is necessary, but some basic computer skills are helpful.
  • The next 10 week class begins October 12, 2020. Training is all online, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and includes a one hour weekly learning lab.
  • If you are interested in the Fall class, complete the IT Core Skills Interest Form

AIOIC Tech Trainings - Computer Support & CompTIA

Fall quarter starts in a few weeks. Both entry-level and intermediate/advanced trainings start the week of October 5. All are provided live online. Fliers are attached and program details and links are below.

Computer Support- 18 weeks, M-Th, weekday hours

CompTIA IT Fundamentals- 6 weeks, M-Th, 8:30-10:15am

CompTIA A+- 6 weeks, M-Th, 12:45-3:15pm

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Development Board. Our programs:

Career Pathways Trainings offer job seekers free or low-cost, accelerated trainings that prepare them for careers in high demand job sectors including Healthcare, IT, Public Safety and the Trades.

Minneapolis Works - Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.

WIOA Adult - Employment and training services to eligible adults 18 and over who are looking to gain skills and employment in healthcare, IT, manufacturing, construction or administrative services.

Minneapolis Youth Works - Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.

Dislocated Worker Program - Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
