Free IT Core Skill Training coming in June 2020. If you are considering a career in tech, this tuition-free, 14 week training will help you train for tech or sales jobs and prepare you for more advanced trainings to learn coding, customer support or network administration. The class is Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from June 15 – September 17. Training is online and can be done from home. City of Minneapolis Employment and Training
City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Development Board. Our programs:
Minneapolis Works - Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.
WIOA Adult - Employment and training services to eligible adults 18 and over who are looking to gain skills and employment in healthcare, IT, manufacturing, construction or administrative services.
Minneapolis Youth Works - Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.
Dislocated Worker Program - Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
