MN DOT DEED RTP Program provides job training opportunities for women and minorities who are underrepresented in the highway construction industry

Placement Opportunities Available

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) have partnered to offer Highway Heavy Construction Training & Placement (HHCTP) opportunities.

The program offers to prepare qualified candidates for employment opportunities in the fields of labor, cement masonry, carpentry and highway heavy equipment operation. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a minority group and/or woman
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid MN driver’s license
  • Must have a car and insurance
  • Must complete the aptitude assessment

The 4 or 6 week training will begin in April 2020, so don't delay!

Applicants who are exited to join the highway construction industry and become industry career professionals are encouraged to fill out the application.

Veterans are especially encouraged to apply.
