Minnesota’s unemployment rate fell slightly for the second consecutive month in September, going from 3.3 percent to 3.2 percent, according to figures from DEED. The rate also again bested the national unemployment rate of 3.5 percent.

DEED has given the city of Renville $49,435 in grant funds to help with redevelopment of a 1.3-acre site along U.S. Highway 212. The funds from the Redevelopment Grant and Demolition Loan Program will be used for asbestos abatement, demolition and sidewalk replacement.

Minnesota’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped one-tenth percent to 3.2% in September, according to numbers released by DEED.
