Launch Minnesota Advisory Board Announced

Ten new members of the Launch Minnesota board – all with unique technology and entrepreneurship backgrounds – have been announced. Launch Minnesota is a new statewide collaboration to support technology startups. Beyond providing incentives, Launch Minnesota seeks to create a stronger network of innovators – and to tell the story of our startup growth to the rest of the country and the world.    

Minnesota Unemployment Decreases to 3.3% in August

The state gained 1,100 jobs in August, according to DEED figures, and Minnesota’s labor force participation rate increased slightly to 70.1%. Over the month, three industry sectors gained jobs: Leisure and Hospitality, Financial Activities, and Construction.

Rochester, Minneapolis and Blaine are among the 100 Best Places to Live in 2019, says Money magazine. Rochester (#15) was recognized for its healthy population and business attracted by the Mayo Clinic. The Lynnhurst neighborhood of Minneapolis (#46), next to Lake Harriet, was praised for schools and parks. And Blaine, (#90) is home to the world's largest youth soccer tournament.
