Metro Transit Offers $1 Fares for Low-income Riders

The Transit Assistance Program (TAP) is open to individuals and families who make up to 50% of the median area income. Applicants should bring proof of acceptance to other assistance programs such as free/reduced lunch, WIC or Section 8 along with valid photo identification or a utility bill to the Metro Transit service stations in Minneapolis or St. Paul.

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Council. To learn more about specific programs click on the following links:

    Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.

    Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
