Second Chance Saturday
UROC partners up with local attorneys who provide free legal advice about expunging criminal records and related issues. This work helps people with criminal record reduce the stigma and burden of having a criminal record, such as difficulty finding housing or employment.

Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps
Americorps crew member positions available for summer and fall (either a 26 or a 13 week AmeriCorps service term). Crew members receive a biweekly living stipend and an education award upon successful completion of the term. Must be 18-25 years old.

Free Clerical Healthcare Internship Program (PPL)
April 24-May 26, M-F, 8 AM - 4 PM
24 hours of Medical Terminology and Electronic Health Records instruction, along with Basic Life Support certification. A 2-week internship is also provided at one of PPL’s partner hospitals (such as North Memorial) or nursing homes. Program graduates will receive a monetary award.

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Development Board.

  • Minneapolis Works 
    Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.
  • Minneapolis Youth Works
    Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.
  • Dislocated Worker Program
    Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
